FlexRide Carpool Program

JOIN A CARPOOL

Let Us Be Your Match Maker!

The FlexRide Carpool Program gives commuters a $25 gas card merely for trying it out once. After that, it continues to give commuters who carpool five or more days per month a $50 gas card each month. This exclusive program is available to the employees and residents of the Watertown Transportation Management Association (WTMA) member locations.

SAVE MONEY. SAVE GAS. SAVE THE EARTH!

Benefits of Carpooling

It's convenient. You and your carpool partner compare schedules and see what works best for you both.
It's economical. Share the costs of gas and toll maintenance, parking and reduce general wear and tear on your car.
It's social. Make new friends, listen to new music, broaden your perspective when you ride to work with someone else.
It's healthier. Driving alone to work each day can cause stress-related illnesses luckily --carpooling can save you from that.
It's cleaner. One less car on the road means less carbon and GHG polluting the air we breathe.

How It Works

Complete the Carpool Profile Form

Please fill out the short questionnaire below so that we can get some basic information about your commute. This does not obligate you in any way; it is just so we can search for a match.

Let Us Search

The WTMA will look for people who live and work close by using our proprietary database to find possible carpooling partners.

The Match Process

When we locate a prospective carpool match for you, we will contact you to discuss the next steps. This may entail setting up an email connection or inviting you to a Zoom conference that will be conducted by a WTMA representative, whatever works best for you.

It's A Match!

If you decide to give carpooling a try, we will send you a $25 gas card after your first carpool trip. If you decide
to continue carpooling, you will earn
a $50 gas card for every month you carpool at least five days during that month.

About Carpooling

According to wbur.org, the average driver in the region spends 64 hours a year — a workweek-and-a-half — stuck in traffic. That's twice what it was in Boston just 30 years ago, adding about $1,400 a year to the average commuter's costs. Consider carpooling and reap the benefits of taking a car off of the roads we all share. Find a carpool partner today…
